Detailed itinerary

Situated amidst a breathtaking boulder-strewn, rusty-hued landscape along the banks of the Tungabhadra River, Hampi, drenched in history and imbued with old-world charm, must be on everyone’s bucket list.  If there is one thing that you must do in Hampi, it is to get a bicycle and roam around the ruins and this sleepy village at a pace that keeps you discovering its beauty. Hampi is not a place to strike off from your wishlist in a rush; so let it work its magic on you—slowly

Hampi is a place like no other and so are the activities that you can indulge in when here. Test yourself at bouldering over the hills, ride a bicycle all across the village, row a coracle in the calm waters of River Tungabhadra, spot some Indian sloth bears or get blessed by an elephant—Hampi has a lot to keep you busy. Watching a sundowner across its famous temple ruins is, of course, a delight.

Places of Attraction :

Besides the main attractions like Virupaksha temple, Vitthala temple, Matthanga hill, you can also visit Kishkindha, where monkey king Sugriva is supposed to have brought Rama to show him the abducted Sita’s jewels; and the Hanuman temple on top of the Anjaneya Hill. There’s also the Hippie Town of Sanapur with its graffiti-laden streets and pretty little cafes, Hampi waterfall, Sanapur lake and coracle ride, Cycle along the Tungbhadra canal and jump through a bridge very much similar to cliff jumping.

Today we start early to first cross on a ferry to enter the Kishkindha town. Passing through the temples we make a halt at kamalapur circle to enjoy hot and yummy south indian breakfast. We start our canal trail to explore the countryside of Hampi along the canal, a tributary of the Tungabhadra, that supplies water to many villages and offers great landscape views for riding. Riders enjoy views of paddy, sugarcane and chilly fields very close to the canal.  We also ride close to the Daroji Bear sanctuary. Riders who can swim get a chance to cliff jump from a bridge into the canal. Today we also carry some packed food apart from the late lunch on the way.

Post lunch we make our way till the homestay again by crossing the ferry.

Day 4 (30 km)

Temple Run

Post breakfast we start our ride from the homestay to explore places around Hampi like Anegundi, bridge connecting the hippie side of Hampi with temple town and a hidden trail connecting the temples which can be easily done on bicycles. Post lunch we end our cycle tour at the same stay.
